TIHAR day 1

From today, the second largest festival of Nepali, Tihar has begun. Today is the day we worship the crows because it alerts us of bad omen heading our way. We started the day as usual, all of us waking up late. Today, is also a day when all the crows dissapear somewhere and dificult to get their sites. So, we all looked around in surrounding trees, buildings and even int he sky, but there was no sign of the elegant black crow.

Finally, Baje pointed us to the direction of one crow, and we all prayed to the crow god that it kept on giving us news of the bad things to come so that we can better prepare ourselves for the future. The divine one obliged by giving us a undescribable sign that there would be a storm today. And all the LMC members got their blankets out.

So, today was the Kaag Puja and today we worshipped the crow. From, the LMC press we wish all the fellow LMCs a happy KAAG Diwas. May the black live and let us live.

P.S. none of this content is fictious. resemblance to places, people and creatures both dead and living is not a coincidence.

"LMC" kicks off

The first official LMC (Let's Meet and Compete) kicked off here today amid great fanfare. The referee for the occasion His Excellency Mr. Pravin Jha inaugurated the first ever LMC with the blow of the whistle.

The first match (Bhakunde Bhoot) was competed in sheer sportsmanship and friendliness. Only one red card highlights this fact the most. The judgement of the referee was also pin-point at the time, though some players thought otherwise, the commentators after seeing the replays applauded the referee for his brilliance. "Its very hard to judge those decisions, after all we get the benefit of all the technologies and then give our verdict but the referee is on the field and running around with the ball. Yet Mr. Praveen was at his best today. I must say that is why he is in the Elite Panel of Referees in the LMC." said one of the fellow commentators(name witheld on request).

The scoreline after the end of the match was 5-4. The highlight of the match was Susmit's 60 yards freekick which eluded the team B's goalkeeper and swirled into the goal post and completed his hatrick. New entrant Sanjit showed he was a good player and veteran Ganesh again showed his talent on the ball but was left frustrated after he couldnt score. Mr. Raghvendra scored his first ever LMC goal for his side and was very happy that he was finally back to his goal scoring ways.

The scorers are as below:
For team A
Susmit(2,6,50)
Kuldeep(52,56)

For Team B
Jeewan(10)
Abinash(46)
Amod(47)
Raghvendra(58)

After the match, Team B again lost 5-1 on the penalties played as a friendly gesture, and Team A completed the whitewash after Runit successfully defeated his counter part Pant in Finger wrestling. In the After-match ceremony the loosing team Captain said their side had rested keyplayers for the match hence the match was lost. He was still happy that it was a close contest. Team A's captain was pleased with the performance of all his fellow players and congratulated everyone in a well deserved victory.
